Hit the water around 8:30 last night. Didn’t take more than 10 minutes to land our first fish. 18″ slot fish. The next fish came quickly and measured @ 24″ We finished the night around 1 a.m. with 13 fish. 8 slot fish and 5 over, with the largest being 26″. 5′-7′ FOW was key. Weed/rock transition, but them seem to be locating near the rocks more. Firetiger stickbait was the top producer. Wasn’t as much work last night as it will be tonight. WIND!!!!!!!!

Nice and thanks for the report.

I wondered outside last nigth and just about started to looking at how clear and calm it was last night and knowing the forecast for tonight was about all it took. Man it was nice last night.

I was up last night – fished out of the west side. We ended up with 8 fish, biggest was 27 inches. We kept four for the table too that were between 16-20 inches. It was an absolutely perfect night to be on the water. All fish came on #7 SSRs in dark patterns in 7-9 fow. I am thinking about heading back up tonight – there will probably be a log jam of boats working the wind protected shorelines if the wind forecast holds true! Good luck to everyone this weekend.

We launched out of Terry’s – good launch and easy access to St Albans, Pike’s point, Seguchie and Wigwam areas. Defintely worth the $10. We focused our efforts on rocky areas mostly south of Terry’s. We came off the water around 2am and there were a lot of boats working the north side of Seguchie Pt. How did people do that were fishing that area?

My thoughts exactly, I thought about pulling an all nighter and driving back to work. This is going to be interesting

We fished that area for the second half of the night. I didn’t count each and every fish but we probably had 20 fish out that general area. No super-slobos but 6 – 8 in the 25″ – 27″ range and only one small guy at 18 inches or so. Chrome super rogues took most all of our fish with trolling speeds running in the 1.7 – 2.0 mph range. Earlier in the evening the north shore had a better average size of fish but once the wind set in last night around 11 PM we pointed the bow south and west to get out of the rollers.

Brett, were you guys chattering it up on the radio?

I heard plenty of people harassing poor Kooty last night.

I was in the same area last night.

Started out on fire then as the night progressed and the wind picked up the fishing slowed.

Overall a decent night though. Still nothing over 25.5 but who’s complaining. Its kind of funny when you catch a 16 incher and you think its too small to keep before you measure it.

A fair amount of boats around but everyone was respectful and gave each other plenty of space.

One boat with 4 guys trolling in it. It looks like they had a good system though. No planer boards out and they seemed to be catching fish.

Quite the skipper to pull that one off, I wouldn’t even give it a try myself. So who ever you were, good job man!

You boys have fun this weekend with those south winds.

    Good luck.

We weren’t giving Kooty a hard time on the radio last night. Actually I was fishing out of a friends boat – his maiden voyage with his new rig on ML. Although we were getting fish throughout the night, we never were able to put together a consistent pattern. Trolling with 4 guys at night without boards does deserve a pat on the back. When I started doing this I had a hard enough time managing 2 poles!

We will have the radio on tonight for sure. Should be interesting to see where everyone ends up going with the south winds. If we can’t handle the wind we might just have to head over to Hunter’s to ring the bell a few times .

I was skippering the boat with 4 guys in it Friday night. No problems, we had few (if any) tangles, and good fishing on top of it

One guy tried to catch some shut-eye in the bow for an hour or two, but was nice enough to get up whenever we needed a net man or something out of the cooler We stayed out until 4:30 and had all 4 lines in the water except when he was snoozing

We did everything we could to harrass Kooty on the radio. Two of the guys in my boat were Kooty’s buddies from SD ….. but instead of hanging out with us Kooty made an early exit from the water that night. I wonder what he was thinking

This is Kooty’s buddy Dan with a nice cookie cutter walleye, I don’t remember how big it was.

This is Kooty’s buddy Chippy with a dandy 28.5 incher. We got two 28.5’s and a 28 that night.

No pics of Kooty though, I have no idea what he was doing

I believe I saw Kooty and several other boy scouts helping some elderly ladies across the street most of the night. The guy is a true gentleman. Good job Kooty!

You guys see this, poor Kooty!! LOL. Thanks for the concern, but I have a feeling I’ve earned every ounce of BS I’ve received. It’s a good thing I was around this weekend, not sure those poor old gals could have made it home safe without me.
