Went out of Hunter’s Point on Friday night. Didn’t get on the water until about 8:30 after fighting our way up through the traffic in the city’s.
To say the least I didn’t catch a fish, and our total was 3 for the night. We fished until 1:00 and came back. Nothing big but all 3 we’re keeper size so one of the guys was going to have a nice little fish fry back in Colorado.
Best color for us was the Smithwick Super Rogue Suspending in the Lazer Crawfish. I had three brand new baits of this color. One got lost and the other 2 had the blades come off after hitting through the rocks once or twice. I wasn’t very happy with the construction on these to say the least. They we’re definitely our top producers that night.
One of the fish was caught on a Husky Jerk Silver Black.
All 3 of the fish came in about 6 feet of water for us that night. 2 we’re in sand bottom, and the last we had just banged over a reef near shore and picked the fish up on the other side as it dropped off.
My surface temp was still reading just over 56 degrees.
