Went out of the casino launch. Got stuck on the sand to the south side on the way out. My buddy strips down, jumps in and pushes us off and says that “he doesn’t think the fish are this shallow”. Man he is tough. Went out to Indian. 2 Eddie’s launches and one boat anchored. The launches pull out on our first pass. Spent over 2 hours and made passes from 4.5-17 feet. Not a bump. Went into the bay and tried the weed edge. Spent an hour and a half. Nothing. Tried different depths, colors, speeds, and styles of baits. Just could not get it going. It was ROUGH out there. Coming back into the bay at about 15 MPH I had the whole boat come out of the water off the edge of a roller. When we were trolling it was hard to even feel the bait with all the boat movement. Looking out of the boat the rollers were at eyelevel while we were in the bottom ot the troughs. Tuff night out. Will be up over the full moon. Hopefully get on the fish that time.

Sorry to hear about the tuff night, but out there taking the brunt of that wind was no place to be. Keep trying different spots cause fish were snapping for us last night.

Big fish…nope, if you see a big fish in September it is usually missing a top fin and has far too many teeth. Seriously if you see one this time of year you better name it. As for the approach, I prefer tossing top waters over Tulibee hole, but if that doesn’t work for you then a guy could always troll some shad raps on west side weedlines I suppose.
