The weather was a little risky that afternoon/evening out there. We had to quickly take a snap shot and release her in to the water and keep my 10′ rods down low in the boat because there was so much electricity in the air and we had no time to run to shore, so we braved the front that came at amazing speeds and shortly after it passed, the sun came out, the winds died and we continued to catch fish.
Both fish were over 28″. I think one hit the 29″ mark and the other was 28.5″. As far as weights are concerned, I have no idea, we just taped them and let them go very quickly. If I had to guess, I am guessing around #7.5-#8.0lbs.
What a afternoon that was, we did not even pull the camera out unless she was over 28″ mark. We were getting a little spoiled that day. We will all remember the bite of summer 20002!!
