I’m south of Malmo on Picard point near lakeside. Some like to run the breaks out front of Fishers resort and south down around Agate Bay is good also. I mainly have trolled out on the 3/4 mile reef, out front of Lakeside and around Picard Point. The crank bite during the Sept. full moon never happen for me, I’m looking forward for the October full moon to be better?
    Good luck………

    Hey guys,
Just a report of th action from last night. Pulled plugs from 6p to about 1a and had 1- 20″ fish. A couple fish up tapping the plugs also. Not a great night to be out, but you take ’em as you get ’em. Fished the southwest corner all night. Good luck this weekend, hopefully the weather improves, and the water temps drop some more to get things moving!

    Later~

I’ve been back from Mille Lacs since the end of Sept. so I haven’t been on the lake since my last series of reports. I will be back up there end of this week and guiding through the end of the month. Keep sharing your findings… I appreciate it a great deal.

Water temps still hovering just south of 60 degrees?

Spent an evening on Mille Lacs over the weekend.
The bite was not hot and heavy for us but we did manage to put 11 fish in the boat for a 6 hour trip. Biggest was just a tad over 28″ mark. We started out our trolling passes in the 6-9ft mark with not a bite and proceeded to go deeper until we made first contact in water depth of 14 ft. We then spent a more time in these depths to find one here and one there. We were pulling Smithwick Super Rogues in the junior version and #7 raps and pulling 1.5mph with jolts to 2.5-3.0mph. Speed was definately a trigger for that evening with all but 3 fish falling victim to the speed change.
I know this was a better showing than my last night outing up there. Hopefully this is a sign that things are progressing!!
