I didn’t see the article but based on the slow fishing I experienced on Saturday along with the fat bellies on the few walleyes we did catch… I’m guessing the walleyes have noticed these perch and lots of other food items.
I wasn’t ready to sound the “lake is crashing” alarm in June and I’m not ready to blow the “everything is fine” whistle now. But, it was sad to see the skinny, pock marked fish last spring and it is encouraging to see the well colored, fat fish now.
Lots of perch is good news for sure!
