I am staying on the north side of Mille Lacs Sat thru Tues. Are those flats up there mud, gravel or what? I intend to fish them and maybe cast those weeds and rocks along the north shore for whatever lives there. Should I have another plan this time of year?
Depending on where your going out of, the flats are mud. Up in the north central part of the lake are also the areas called the humps. These start south of east flat and continue south all the way to schultz flat if memory serves me right, these are primarily sand.
The Muskies have been getting alot of attention on the north end the last month, not sure if their still biting though.
