The DNR emailed and said they have taged 20,000 fish and are collecting the data. When this is completed we will receive notice. This notice will include when, where and possibility how many times these fish have been caught this past year.

I have been told that we will be sent a document much like that of when you shoot a banded duck or goose…..

Thanks Bob for the email link!
I heard this weekend that a couple of the resort launches have reported of catching the same tagged fish up to 10 times in the past two days! Anyone else hear this?

I guess it somewhat does not surprise me with the bite the way it is!

I heard on a stay at Eddies two weeks ago that an all day launch trip caught the same tagged fish 4 times.
On another note: Saturday late afternoon I was boating along the shore on the east side and counted 26 floaters in a halfmile stretch. I dont like what I am seeing and smelling. Proper cpr is a very high priority at this time with the temps. Reel’em in slow and get’em back in fast (but careful) I will NOT be part of the pressure on the lake until it cools a bit. I’ve caught my fish. Time to cool the reel.

I like your thinking Big D, I’m going to slack off the walleye fishing myself and spend a little more time pursuing the other species in the lake, primarily smallmouth.
Its also a good time to explore new areas of the lake.
