In a little tourney there this weekend. Just wondering if its better ti it the rocks and gravel to find some slot fih or hit the mud and look for 1 big fish. I was out on the mud all last weekend with good numbers of fish but not only 2 slots. Just wondering what you guys think.

Has- Where are you fishing the Tournament out of?
In my opinion the rocks in the early morning / late evening has been my best shot at slot fish. Good luck in your tourney.
Would it happen to be the IBEW tourney?
Yep Hooks it is the IBEW, are you fishing it to? Think i’ll just go catch my 2 over 28 first..lol. The tourney is out of Hunters point Dman, so it isn’t that far of a run to the rocks or the mud. The radio will be on channel 68 for those who are around.

I was out to the mud a week ago and did pretty good. We did lots of trolling and caught lots of fish over the slot , but couldn’t find one over the 28″ mark. The mud is a good place to start looking for the one over 28″.
