Mille Lacs Ice going fast!

    Monday I made a post with jon j. and stated that we had lot’s of ice of Mille Lacs yet! Well today with the high winds and the second day with very warm temps, the ice has broke away from the shore and even started to pile up alittle over in front of Garrison Sports. I am surprised at how quickly the ice has deteriorated. This past Saturday The guy’s at Lakeside pulled thier stakes and markers off the lake roads, thats only 4 day’s ago………..

    I’ll keep you posted on the ice movements.

    It’s funny because opener is May 11th any way you look at it. But I’m like the rest of you, I just feel better knowing the ice is OUT! I figured all this hot weather mated with a brisk wind would do some fast damage to that ice. It’s amazing how fast it can go.
