    Good luck!!!!

I wouldn’t hesitate chasing them right into the evening. A little birdie has told me the late afternoon, going into the evening bite has been best.

Got on the water at 1 pm and off the water at 8 pm. Started out casting in Vineland Bay and Indian Point, on the weeds. Topwaters and trolling cranks. A few other guys were doing the same thing.

Then hit the rocks on the Southside, Rocky Reef, Cove Bay, Mazominee Point.

No luck on any of the spots, but I had a good day. I challenged myself with a shortcut across the main lake, and with only mild winds it beat me up pretty good. I headed for shore to make my way back up to Garrison.

I’ll try again later in the season.

Hi guys, I was thinking of coming up in the end of Sept and looking for some Muskie or northerns. My daughter wants to catch big fish. So do you have any sugestions? Darrell

September is awesome to really put the time in trolling up there.

Believers, Jakes, Salmo Whitefish will all put fish in the boat. Also, don’t hesitate to pull a big spinnerbait, such as an M/G spinnerbait. Red/black or a white/blue color pattern seems to work very well.

If you are restricted to two rods, I would recommend putting a 10″ Jake or Grandma in the prop-wash about 30′ back from the boat and run a spinnerbait about 80′ back. Lock the rods in the rod holders, throw the boat in gear about 3-4mph, troll the north breakline, kick back and enjoy!!!!!

Also, don’t be afraid to troll the rock reefs on the south end of the lake. If you have 1′ contour chip on a GPS, it makes life much easier. However it is not needed. You can always buy a good 1′ contour map. One or the other is just about a necessity.

no problem! Feel free to ask any questions!!!

Honestly, I love trolling for muskies up there in the fall. The weather is awesome and the fish are hungry.
