Got to spend my first time on Mille Lacs this year. Jbob had me as guest in his house, and of course it was the first night a rattle wheel didn’t go off. Oh well. We did manage a few walleyes: 22″, 16.5″, 15″, 12″, plus 1 pout. They also got a few before I got there. I was amazed at how clear the water is and by how rough the ice is in places. I don’t spend a lot of time on Mille Lacs in the winter, but I can’t remember it this bad.
