Finished reading the article and one of the first things that come to mind is this….

We have over one million people who buy licenses. (I use that number because every opener I hear the reports of 1,000,000 people will hit the lakes that day. I assume they all have a fishing license.) If we simply increased the license fee .20 cents on the first million licenses sold and gave that money to the tribes in a buy out, then we would save them the time of netting and spearing Mille Lacs. After all, it MUST be about the MONEY!!?? Right? I never for one minute bought into that crapola about them needing to net and spear to please thier gods!!

Man, that comercial fishing Mille Lacs really pisses me off!

I think its more of a point to them, show people this is there right and not anyone elses, were special to do whatever we want.

It’s just that this is the first year the indians have used the “C” word. That’s bad news in my book.
