    With the extended forecast as it is, I would predict we will finally start to see some ice !!!! The wind has been blowing hard the last 24-36 hr’s which is just what we need. This stirs up the water and set’s it up for quick a freeze as all the “old timers” would sayl!

    With the great fishing we had this fall, it should take us into some great ice fishing early ice.

    I’ll post new info as the big lake starts to freeze!

    Hey Hook, Friday nite I had 2 boats out front stopping and going. Caught the flash going off a couple times!!!!!!!That was the last boats I’ve seen on the water.

    PS- I had the sled out today!

    I’m thinking about heading up Saturday night. First, am I nuts? Second, how much snow is there around Mille Lacs? I fished Mille Lacs for what I thought was the last time on November 2 but I guess here I go again…

    Talked to Bobbers last night and he said they had 6-10 inches but the snow hadn’t stopped blowing around. He didn’t have to work yesterday, bucketed snow all day with the tractor.

    I was up there Tuesday afternoon and measured just over 6, it was still snowing slightly when I left. But 10 miles south on 169 there was a very noticable difference in the amount, probably twice as much.

    Hey Dinosaur….I think here on the eastside of Mille Lacs we have around 8-10 in. It snowed most of today, I have been working up around Bay Lake and have the same there. My boat harbor now has ice on it!!!!!! and saw some ice floating on the north end of Mille Lacs this am !!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hey Bobber, whazz up, long time since I have seen ya. Great to hear you have spotted some ice. This warm weather has got me a little crabbie. The trophies didnt grow??? maybe they need a new home next year.
