Lntony2 and myself are planning on coming up to Mille Lacs on the weekend of the 18th. What are the odds of finding a place to stay? We can either rent a shack or bring the portables and find a hotel room somewhere. Not knowing much about the area, what are some of your opinions on this?

Thanks Bobber I emailed George at Hunter’s, since I consider them to be my first choice. If they are full, I will just go down the line until I find something

If it is in the same place, you should have some fun in there. The shack is the perfect size for 2 people and had fish under it all day
I emailed George on Friday and haven’t heard back from him yet. I sure hope to get a sleeper from him again, but I am sure he is pretty busy right now.

Yeah, I just called and they told me to call back tomorrow. Either way, we should be able to find a place somewhere on the lake or a few miles away

Any of you guys want to do a little scouting for perch this weekend? I go to college about 4 hours away, but I really want to make a trip this Friday or Saturday. I’ve got all my own gear so we could do some hole hopping and find the jumbos.

Bob, my wife and I have a rental from George for the 17-18th. Should we plan a brat/onion/peper cookout on the back of my truck again. That great smell is wearing off my Otter.

    Bob,

We are bringing another couple up with us. We rented a 8 hole, 6 person sleeper. Any chance you can get George to move it to the secret spot for us .. There might be a new T.V. in it for ya if we win another one.

The Hunter Point Tourney is always a blast. Hope to see some of you guys/gals up there.

The perch have been really slow for us the last few trips out! This morning puddlepounder and I met for breakfest at Hunters and headed out around 8:30am. George gave us a couple of spots that produced over the weekend. We fished out of the truck doors and stayed mobile. Puddlepounder managed a few fish while I missed the couple of bites I had??? We had a lot of fish come in for looks….but had few takers. George had one guy hammer the jumbo’s in a house this weekend…..only today it was slow in that area.

I hope to nail this perch bite down B4 the 18th……..I think with this change in the weather pattern to colder temperatures was great for the ice/lake…but slowed the fishing!

    It can only get better…….

As Bob said up above, the fishing has been on and off.
Bring chips and Buns if ya would.

when we find a bite we’ll see if George will move your house in closer like last year.
I put my big house out and Tuck and I will be out of there.

Wats…….same for you, we’ll see if we can get all the houses in close to each other.

    Now to find the bite!

I just talked to Hunter’s this morning. We got a sleeper We will be in #3. They said they are still on Flamingo and also on Banana right now. So, is there still a plan to get them closer together? It would be awesome to have another mini GTG. I am stoked to get up there again

I think rental #3 is on the Banna Bar as of yesterday! It’s not far from the rest of the houses!!

Hopefully it’s nice out and we can fish outside!!
