Is anybody out there going to do the Super Pro event on Mille Lacs this year? A friend of mine wants me to go with him. Is it worth the $750??? I think it would be a great learning experience. What do you think?

Allright here is a way to think of it. The cost is $750 for 3 days of fishing. That would be $250 / day. That is about the same price as a guide. Now just remember you may not get a person that is all that famliar with the lake and not get that much on the lake. But I’m sure the learning experience of fishing a tournament of this statue would be incredible. Then again, you could end up with a TOP GUN fisherman or 3

If you have the money laying around, I would say go for it . I looked at applying, but my money needs to go other places right now

I agree, it’s well worth it. Look at the 50 guys fishing. I know a few of these guys and they have been fishing Mille Lacs tournaments for a long time. Most of these guys have fished in tournaments before the slot limits. I also was looking at it but right now it’s not in the budget. I wouldn’t wait too long, with only 50 spots it’s going to fill fast.

I’ve had 5 phone calls from “super pro’s” who want to know if I would like to help them?

I told them all the same thing…I get $350 for an all day trip, half days are $200, and you can bring your handheld GPS!

Of course, if someone were to offer something like a new Lowrance 110, maybe I could work something out!
