Mike W. and I hit the lake around 6:30 pm intending to “Hammer” the piggies. Well, you know what usually happens with those kind of intentions. Things started out very, very, very, slow for about the first 20 minutes, then all heck broke loose. We started out with a fine 25 inch football(speaking of football, did the Vikings Play today….heehehheeh). That started a good 3 hours of jerkin’ lips. Most fish were between 20 – 27 inches. Then the lull, from about 10:30 to 1:30 we boated 2 snotrockets, no eyes. Then, WOW!! for the next 3 hours we picked up where it left off. The fish were again, very good sized. The most were 21 – 27 inches again. The later bite was all big fish, only 2 keeper fish. We also put a couple more stinkys in the boat. The night ended at about 4:30 am with a total of 34 walleyes, and 4 stinkies. The weather was glorious, it actually warmed up during the night, ended the night at 57 degrees. The wind was almost non-existant, and the fishing was fantastic, what else could two walleye fishing buddies ask for??? This photo is Mike’s big fish of the night.27 1/2 inches

yup it was an absolutly beautiful night on the water!
I took my dad up there for his 50th b-day and showed him the wonder of the pond!

we hit indian pt first and landed 4 nice fish (2 @ 26, 26.25 & 27.5) and a couple slots, then we went to move and well that were things got interesting main starter wouldn’t go. so I had to switch one of the trolling batteries with that. then after we relocated I had a big fish guessing a pike or ski got me wrapped around the trolling motor, note to self get quick lift system for bow mount

well he busted me off and we had to start over. got 9 more fish that night all between 23-25″ which was weird since I haven’t gotten a lot of those this year then in one night we catch em?

all in all a great night.

castaway, my eyes still hurt turn the kitchen light off!

On the battery issue. I had this earlier this year. I had a charger put on my kicker by Crystal Pierce in Rogers. Cost about 130 installed. I now can watch my volts on my graph when going and it charges better than my big motor charges the battery wehn running full throttle. Trolling with all the stuff on and lights in the dark will draw a battery down.

Was looking at smithwicks web site yesterday. Noticed they have a couple colors of rouges that glow in the dark. Have any of you guys ever tried these?

I have the same problem when running the kicker. With all the stuff on and that table lamp really draws some juice it will where the battery down.If this happens just shut everything off and run your kicker for a while and it will charge the battery enough to start the main. Then run the main for a little while and it will refresh the battery

Or buy the T8 kicker!! I haven’t had a single issue with amperage when running the kicker. Of course I don’t run a light big enough for most rancher to pull calves with.

My T8 seems to keep the battery up as well. I run 2 depthfinders, and 2 GPS’s plus the lights, never a problem.

Mike W, I have a glow rouge, hasn’t been wet yet, but I have wondered the same thing. Maybe have to give it a swim. I will be up on Tuesday night as well. Black Lund, Black Dakota Quad Cab. What are you driving?

We will be fishing out of TBO’s explorer again. Will most likely start out around the Casino.
