I met with the builder over lunch today. We are about 6 weeks from breaking ground, then 5 months to close. I can’t wait to get moved north so I can participate in the nightly runs to the pond. Sounds like Robert and I will be neighbors so look out walleyes next year!!! 
PS. No hotdogs allowed in the C-liner!!

I have no problem kicking his/her either. Mille Lacs is a dangerous place at night, especially when you have a rope and a brick tied to your ankle. Besides, some of the mud flats need more structure. 
Castaway we will have another crazy neighboor!!! Kooty these nightly trips are awesome. Give me a shout sometime neighboor!

5 weeks and 6 months? Thats June, and the night bite in June pretty much sucks.
5 weeks and 9 months from now, it will be picking up again though!!

But the open water trolling bite will just be getting good!!! I’m pumped about learning this lake more. I’ve been mesmorized by her since I moved here 5 years ago. My biggest fish came from the pond on one of my first mud flat trips. I still remember releasing her, she aught to be about 33″ now. I can’t wait to reconnect with her.
Well if you really want to learn how to fish the lake, I better get you out for a day and show you how to work a slip bobber on the shallow rocks. For numbers of fish, it can’t be beat!

ya…….5 months +/- acouple months!! I’m a carpenter also………..it never goes as planned. Oh well Kooty, you can still go fishing!
I agree Bob, especially when building through the winter. However, I’m still optimistic we’ll be in by July. Which should give me just enough time to get settled and start training the truck for the trip to the pond.
Kooty, I hope you have an “Iowa room” addition in the blue prints. Don’t tell me you didn’t plan for your boys from the south to make a visit or two!
