Took a first timer from my club, Randy S. (he will soon be a member)up to Mille Lacs for Sat night. Sounds a little slow for most boats and the same for us. I debated on going up to the NW side of the lake, but stayed in Shos-kung (sp) bay. We caught 4 Walleyes, (Randy had 3 of them)
which I was happy with as it was his first time during Oct night fishing on ML. He had brought some Rogues and used one with a dark back and very silvery flashy sides and that is what is caught his 3 on. We generally fished 8-12 feet over weed tops. The wind was blowing in quite strongly, with small white caps, and when I thought I’d head down to Indian Pt the wind picked up, so we didn’t. Randy caught Walleyes of 27, 26, and 22, while I only had a 21″ caught on a clown HJ. Dispite the WX, he is hooked and wants to return soon. The first picture is Randy with his 27 incher, sure are great this this Fall.

Some nice fish Jack! We only boated a 15″. Had couple of nice fish that we lost, that the wind didn’t help much. How late did you stay out? We were the last boat to leave at 2:30 and the wind picked up another notch.

With as much time as you are spending up there, they are going to put your name on a parking spot in Sha-Bosh!
    Nice fish!

Nice Fish Jack! I had MT Net in my boat the Friday before the full moon and he caught all the fish too. But it was really neat to be a part of another guys great walleye outing. Net got a 26″, 25″, 23″, 21″, and a 16″. He also lost a couple of monsters, one we thought was a snag. I didn’t mind my skunk at all. Night fishing Mille Lacs is a hoot!

    Jetro,
I think we stayed til around 2am or so. another boat from my club with PaulV and JamieR left about 1/2 hour after we did they said. they had a 27″ and I think a few mid 20’s fish.
Tuck- I don’t think with 3 trips in a week will give one a private parking slot, but would have been nice during the full moon weekend.
my club is heading to Minnetonka this weekend. might have a chance to get back to ML. in Nov if the temps don’t tank.
    Jack..
