Again, last night we had good success with the Moon out and high using dark colors. We got on a school around 10pm and we pulled numerous (7-8) 24-27″ fish in about a 45 minute span. Wanna talk about fun ! Thanks for a great night Tuck! When the moon was out, but low in the sky, Firetiger seemed to be the bait of choice for those rascals. We got on a great schoool early in the night of 19-23″ fish that made for some good fillets and they were just smacking the Firetiger HJ 12’s. I boated a 23″ fish that ended up dieing cause she inhaled my whole HJ and nothing but the eyelet and o ring of the bait was sitcking out of her mouth . I guess she was hungry .
Man when does this bite end ! I’m a tired eye catching fool! I will be taking tonight off to rest up for the weekend and will be back out tomorrow with PoDunk Guide H20 ! Bringin a few buddies that have only experienced this craze, one time before. They are jacked after seeing everyones pics
Good Luck to everyone the rest of the week! Keep and Jon J made a good point on another post. With this cold front coming in. If you are not getting fish, slow waaaaaay down (1.2 -1.7 mph or slower). I’m seeing a lot of boats just crusiing by me right now. Crawl along and shift the boat in nuetral for a while and engage the motor and hang on to your pole . Inside turns were the ticket again last night. So thats telling me that slow is the key right now, along with direction and speed changes! Depths have been about 6-10 feet on the weeds edges, rocks and over the tops of some weeds also.
