Well it started out for me on Thursday night with Skindog!! We fished the casino access area once again, with limited sucess. If I remember right it was a little rough, and really had the lake stirred up. So bad that the dying weeds would foul your crank. Made fishing a little difficult but still managed to catch 7 or 8 fish all in the 15″-18″ range.
Onto friday night, fished with Beckman. Like Lil ripper said “can’t trust the weatherman”. 3 mph winds my ! We trolled St Albans bay and I think we took two or three waves over the front of the boat, made trolling a bear. We did however hook up with 6 fish on the weed lines there also. These fish wanted the stick baits, firetiger and orange craw husky jerks were the best. We then loaded up at Pikes point ( another adventure with the wind pounding in) and headed to the casino area again. Within 5 minutes of fishing Bam!!! 20″er then nothing for the next 2.5 hours. So we called it a night.
Sunday night.. Was a much better night once again. We found a good number of eater fish once again in the inside weed edge of the casino access. These fish were really agressive last night, in fact i was letting out line and i got hit and landed a small 15″ fish, funny thing is that I was only 25′ behind the boat and still letting out line. Last night the fish wanted a #7 shallow shad rap, I was out fished 7 to 1 within the first 1/2 hour of fishing. I of course was using a stick bait! We ended the night with 16 fish biggest was 22″ and very football like!
Overall take of the weekend, ok fishing with the smaller fish still on the feeding binge. Waiting for the big gals to show there faces. Should be an exciting upcoming weekend again.
It was nice to put a face with the names on this site. Lil ripper, Mike W, Beckman, and Skindog.
Have a safe and fun full moon bite everyone!!!

We called it a night shortly after we saw you & Beckman drive by on 169!

The nets were also out on Sherman’s point and into the bay. We found three and there may have been more. The one we snagged had several eyes in it.

We only caught to eyes with a few misses. Finally gave up at 2:15 am. We fished from Indian point up past Shermans. Pretty rough and lots of floating weeds to snag hooks. I’lll be out working the rocks on friday night.

Ranger29… you forgot to mention you were outfished Friday night also! I thought we figured it would be an all stickbait bite from now on, I guess you got burned Sunday night on that one.

Thanks for the trip, it was good to learn a couple new trolling runs. I’ll be up again, but not for another week or so. I’m sure you’ll keep me informed!

I don’t think i will ever use pikes point access. I will pay Terrys to use there cove they have. I wish i could get up more often. Its fun to stay on a good school of fish, however I wish they were just a bit bigger. There is a lot of lake to learn, and many spots still undiscoverd.

Beckman, I had to let you get your confidence up this year since it was your first trip this fall!!!

Have a safe full moon everyone!!!!
