After getting blown around pretty good on friday night near garrison we decided to head out of Fishers in the north east corner last night. We had tried this a couple of weeks ago and had some fair action between Fishers and Agate bay reef. The best action had been in the sand that night. Last night after trolling down to the reef and back to fishers we found the fish in the sand once again.

Since trolling this area in new to me I am still trying to figure out what depths and structures to key in on for finding fish. Most of our Trolling hasa been in the 6 to 10′ range. Found one area that has a fairly decent break at those depths and we have taken most of our fish there. Last night we found a couple of our fish trolling north of Fishers. Same depths but not much of a break to it. Might have to head farther north into the sand on our next trip.

Any one else been spending much time trolling the sand?

Thanks for the report Mike I dont fish up on the sand much but trolling close to the shoreline in shallow water in front of Agate bay can sometimes be good.I lost a pig up there last year.

Yeah, Mike and I went out of Pikes Point Friday only to find out what we already knew………. Weatherman are never right. What happened to the 3 mph SE wind we were supposed to have. Well lets just say it was not 3 mph. Not sure what it was, but it was brutal. We never got anything really going fishing for about 5 hours we got around a fish an hour. No picture worthy fish and the largest was a fat 20″ er. Lets just say the bite was tough for my boat on the West side Friday! Water temps were in the low 50’s. Looking to shape up perfect for next weekend . If I would have known the wind was going to blow all night, I much rather gone on my old stomping grounds around Agate, Flamingo area !

It was nice to finally meet Ranger29 at the ramp on Friday! I got your # and give me a call when ever you are out!

I did hit the water Sunday morning at the cabin and had 48 degrees at Sunrise when I put the boat in. Found a few cooperating eyes on leeches.

Was there a lot of weeds foating in the water?Usually when the wind blows that direction the weeds show up and make for a tough bite.
