bought a 8×20 icehouse that gets pulled out of the cove bay area,is the ice fishing decent in this area,or should i have it moved to a different resort on the lake?I am guessing this area is good right away, then slows down as the ice season progress(just guessing from what I can see on the map)Any advice, depths, gps locations would be great, moved here from devils lake area a couple years ago, dont know mille lacs at all.

I think if your catching fish in any permanet house on mille lacs, your doing good. The most asked question for mille lacs is “where is the best fishing” there really isnt an answer to that. If it were my house I would be looking for quality service, affordable prices and then find a good edge to set up on and use the house as a base camp and move around during the day with portables. If your looking to dunk a minnow and drink a few beers, you can pretty much set up anywhere and hope the fish come to you..

i live on cove bay. fishing was good all winter, for the most part. good northern fishing in the bay on early ice. perch can be had in the bay also but you have to sort them out to get some eaters. when you can get out past the point there is alot of structure to fish. are you out of wildreness warmth?

Yes,the house is at wildreness warmth. Is any one else based out of here?In talking with the management at ww,they plow out to spirit island or further depeding on conditions/ice ridges.
