Frost warning!!!

There is a frost Warning for the Mille Lacs Lake area! This is just what the “Doctor ordered”!

With the lake surface temperature in the mid 60’s this cold snap will help lower the lake a bit!!! I would like to see it get near the upper 50’s for the full moon in three weeks.

The wind was blowing like h*#l today which also helps lower the temp’s even more!!

Hey fellas update on lake temp as of last night at midnight is 60.5! Its on!!!!!!!!

yes we did, I was fun last night! No big fish just nice healthy “eaters”

Back trolling??

Yes, bite was urine poor. I think we had less than dozen fish and size was nothing worth talking about. Worst outing this year. I am not to optimistic about tomorrow’s trip either.

Just out of couriosity (sp) why were you back trolling???

Thats easy, I’m a tiller guy and thats what tiller guys do!

Although the big fish aren’t around yet, a dozen fish a night isn’t too bad.

So far this year we’ve been lucky with the nice nights weather wise. I do wish it would get colder.

Did you get out to Indian Point? We haven’t fished the rocks much this year.

I’m a tiller guy too but I’d rather pull cranks going forward.

It’s a little easier fo me to see with other boats around.

Plus you till guys really screw us wheel guys up when trolling at night. We can never tell what direction you son of guns are going.

Ill be headed up friday night for the weekend.I hope this weather gets the bite going.Ill probably stick to the east side as we will have the grandsons with.I hope the wind cooperates.

I will be dumping the boat in tomorrow night to try her out. I thought I was going for a test run tonight, however Ma decided to go out with the girls. It’s a little too cold for Jocelyn to be in the boat right now, so daddy daycare for me tonight.

I went out with Ranger 29.

We stayed in Sha-bosh-kung bay and hit weedlines.

#7 shallow shad rap in a white chartruse seemed to work the best. Most of the action was between 8:30 and 10:30.

No big fish, 22 1/2 being the biggest. Alot of nice eating size fish though,14-18 inchers.

I mostly played net boy again. Ranger caught most of them.

I’m going to start knocking em off when they get close to the boat if this keeps up.

I probably have yours,I have a couple that size. I caught at least one on it last friday night.

So far this year I’ve been turning most of my cranks into unlucky ones.
