Has anyone been finding the fish more concentrated or are they still scattered around the shallow areas?

Friday night the temp on the west side was just less than 64 degrees when we left the lake at 3:00 am.

With the cooler weather forecasted for this week, do you think it will finally get the fish in more of an aggressive mood? It looks like 30 to 35 for a low on Wednesday night. I’m shivering just thinking about it.

Maybe these short hits and bumps that a guy gets will turn into better hook ups and more fish netted.

We only spent a few hours on the lake but picked up 5 before the rain got to bad. We caught a couple on cranks and a few corking it. The smallmouth love that live bait too! Can’t keep them off the hook.
We didn’t see many boats out either, the full moon rush is over for a couple weeks now.

The fish we got cranking were holding one area on a sharp rock break.
Crawfish color worked for me, not sure what Bob had on.
Oh that’s right I caught most of the fish!

Did you find much up there Skindog? We picked up 5 on friday night between 830 and midnight trolling the east side between fishers and agate bay. 22″ was the bigest. Had on small break in the sand that put out three of the fish and at least as many misses. Thought we did pretty good for never fishing that area before.

We picked up 7 on friday night.

Fished Sha-bosh-Kung bay. Weeds and rocks out by Indian Point and Rainbow island. The biggest was 27 1/4.

We didn’t feel like fighting the wind so we never left the bay.

Friday night was pretty slow for me. I was on Indian Point for a while but the wind, anchored boats, and slow bite pushed me back into the bay also. Biggest I got was a 25,”, 7 FOW, #5 shallow rap.

I fished the west side out of Garrison Thursday night from 9-12 and only caught 4 fish.3 small fish on the inside of the weeds on shadraps and 1 23 incher on the outside of the weeds on a HJ.Friday night I put the boat in at Fishermans Wharf and trolled Big Point and Liberty Beach and the weeds out from the Wharf. We fished for about 3 hours and only caught 1 fish a 22 1/2 on the inside of the weeds by the Wharf.Saturday we headed back to Garrison and got there a little before dark so I decided to check out the deeper water with bobbers.I had heard the launches were doing well out there so I thought I would check it out.I marked a ton of fish out there so we fished for an hour and caught one small fish. There were 2 launches south of us so on the way I decided to drive by and see if they were doing anything. As we got closer we could hear the hooting and they were catching fish.I marked a lot of fish in the area so we decided to anchor up a good distance from the launch and give it a try.We fished for about an hour and the launch was consistantly catching fish about a dozen and we got zero.Next time I think I will have to throw in the generator and a bunch of lights and give that a try. After that we hit the weeds for a few hours and caught 2 small fish.It was pretty slow on the fishing but was nice to be on the water and Im sure the cold front didnt help but it did drop the water temp a few degrees to 64.
