Monday Night Report

Just got back from the lake and thought I would post a quick report before I hit the sack.We hit the water around 10 PM out of garrison and headed up by Knox point and trolled the shoreline for the first couple hours.We picked up 3 keepers there and had a few get off and had a few short biters.We were running HJ12 in 7-10 FOW 80-100 feet back.Firetiger got the most hits.Around midnight we headed back towards the landing and hit a shallow shoreline.A couple minutes later it was fish on.An hour later we had 8 fish in the livewell and released several more.#5 craw shallow running shad rap was the hot lure.We were fishing 6-8 FOW 80 feet back.Water temp was 67.Fishing is still going well if you are looking for shorelunch or some good action but the big fish havnt showed up in any numbers yet.We did pick up a few in the 24-27 range over the weekend but the majority of the fish were under 24.I guess thats not a bad thing as it is usually the other way around.I am thinking about going back up tonight and if I do I would have an open seat so if anyone is interested in going let me know.

Thanks for the update. Only been away from the lake 1 day and can’t wait to get back out.

Ive been on the lake for the last 6 nights so now that I cant sleep at night anymore I might as well go fishing.Was nice to meet you at the fish fry and will stop by to take a look at those maps of Ripley next weekend if you are going to be up there.I will put a post up tomorrow if I make it out tonight.

We ended with 3 Sunday night in the same area that Castaway is talking about. We just didn’t have the mojo going in my boat for the weekend. But it was a great time trying. Then when I got home and unpacked the truck Monday morning I tweaked my back and have been in unbearable pain since. (someones trying to tell me something) maybe fishing on my 1st anniversary wasn’t such a good idea. I hope I get thru this back thing quick so I can make another trip up. Thanks for the tips for Sundays outing Castaway, atleast we got a few in the boat.

And just think Doug, another morgan drinker!!!

I only caught 3 there on Sunday to.I had quite a few short bites as well and the same thing last night there.They just arnt as aggressive as they were Saturday night when we got 16 there.Oh well next time you get up stop by and Ill plug another coordinate in your GPS for ya.Thanks for the beer and take care of the back.

Castaway, what kind of boat are you running… I was on Knox point on Sunday night. Fishing in a ranger! I heard a lot of activity on the radio about fish caught on Sat night!
