I’ll be up Saturday morning through Sunday night (Monday morning). It’s my first full moon rodeo so it should be interesting. We will be on the SE end probably fishing the East.

Looking like Friday night and Sunday for me. Friday will be the West and NW sides and Sunday depends on the PD Guide formerly known as H20.

Might be up Friday night till Sun. but with this hot weather we’ve been having lately I’m not expecting too much. What does everyone else think? Think it’s too early?

unfortunatly I got my balls caught in the mouse trap this weekend and have to put in “quality time”

some stupid wedding where I don’t know anyone there except her well I guess the only option she left me is I told her 2 weeks ago I wasn’t going but that changed as soon as I told her I was taking off 1 week in oct and 1 week in nov and every friday from sept 23-nov 25, going fishing or hunting. so I have to sacrafic the boat & weapons this weekend to the domestic gods in hopes of a huge payout later

    good luck!

Fri-Wed. for me! With these warm water temps I’m not expecting a whole lot. At least the jumbos are shallow!

I’ll be up Friday by myself, (Maybe with Josh Hukriede if he can stay up a while, and not worry about bow hunting! ) and guiding Saturday night. Home on Sunday.
I will be fishing where the fish are hopefully!

I might be up there this weekend for another guide trip. Just waiting for a confirmation. If I do go, I’ll be fishing during the day. The nightime trolling bite won’t be very strong just yet, but what you do catch should be keepable.

Good question! I am going to concentrate on my known weed bed bites to gague where I personally think the bite is. I know the eastside rocks has been slow at best lately. I have not been to the southern weed beds yet. I plan on hitting weed and rock edges from 8-10 feet of water. There are roughly 18+ miles of shoreline that I want to try, at 1.5 miles per hour it should only take me 12 hours to cover it

Tuck, we could troll the weed line out front of the Wharf……..trouble with that, is we would probably have to tangle with one of them dam Muskiessssssssss.

Be back up there by Thur night at the latest.
Wahkon Bay will be the haunts unless my Bro in law convince me to go up to the Sylvan Shores area ‘cuz he has taken his dock out.
Sun. night when the 1/2 moon peaked past the clouds the fish were going. HUGE perch & 5 eyes in 2 hrs from 8 to 10. Biggest was a FAT 23″ & then slot fish. Lost a reall nice one at the boat when I reached for the net.
There real girls may not be up yet. I’m not concerned w/ the 69 degree water temp. Have confidence & go quicker w/ a wider wobble.

Gotta disagree I find the September phase to be the best bite year in and year out. Can’t wait.

I would agree during years when the water temps run in the low 60’s, high 50’s. This year looks warm though.
Boy! I hope you are right and I am wrong!

Each post gets me more and more excited for Saturday. Any suggestions for the southeast end of the pond?

That area of the lake is Jon J’s specialty. Hooks and Bobber may know a little something about the east side also.

Lot’s of great water to troll from Big Point down to Spider Island. If you can get out during the day and get a feel for your trolling runs, that’s a plus. Get a good feel for where the marker buoys are. All mark shallow rock. You want to be near those areas without running up on them! Big Point is safe, but will have a lot of boats early. Doe, Hawkbill, Hennepin, and Spider all are good areas. Don’t rule out anything in between!

Good Luck and stay out of the rocks!

    Thanks J.
I’ll be doing the “fly by” of spots on Saturday morning and try to pick up some perch for supper at the same time.
