Curious who all plans to be on the pond in Sept and Oct this fall?? I’ll be up from Sept 15-18 and Oct 14-19. I have some friends scheduled for two nights in Sept, however, I’ve got an open seat other nights. I’ll post when it gets closer, but it’s always better to have a partner or two when out at night!! I’ll be targeting the west side(assuming the wind allows me to).

Who else will be up there??

I will be up there this fall, just have not picked any dates yet, there are too many things that I have to get off the honey-do list before I get clearance from the wadren

I’ll be up there around those dates too! Bowhunting bucks in the morning, shooting grouse in the afternoon, back to hunting bucks in the evening and then trolling cranks at night! God I love this time of the year!

I’m “pencilled” in. It’s all going to depend on how the new garage construction project goes. I’d be more bummed out except the new garage is for the new boat

After the last two years I’d sure hate to miss out on the full moon bite!

I plan to start towing the boat to work in Sept and heading up a couple days each week. I am sure both Sept and Oct full moons will not be missed by me! What about this weekend, I heard of a few guys giving it a shot. Or do you think its too early for the shallow bite??

Nope not me , I will not be there one night What is this Fall trolling thing on the full moon you guys are talking about ??? Is the bite any good ? Can you catch some nice ones

Ok chasing bucks during the morning/evenings and trolling cranks all night long. I will also be heading up for a few hours after work come the Full moon to try catching these walleyes you guys are talking about I also may have an open seat or 2, but I foten do not know I’m going until that day, so I will try to post as soon as I know if anyone wants to head up

Fall is really a crazy time for this CAT! I’m not sure which way I’m going most of the time. I sleep walk, drool vigorously, often can be heard Urrrping and getting up @ 3:30 am is not uncommon for me. I take usually 2 showers a day and try to blend in with my surroundings the best I can. I may sit motionless for hours on end and spend most of my days suspended from 15′ to 30 feet in the air, all with my trusty Matthews, waiting for that certain Deer to make his last move in the most challenging game of chess known to man. I have one thing I’m focused on and the only thing that can knock me off track is the Fulll Moon Eye bite on the pond. So I’m serious, if I do not act normal or repond to some of you it’s not that I don’t care or like you, it just may be that my attention is distracted to a big rack( no not a chest) .

That’s the funniest thing I’ve read on here in months! If I wasn’t the same way, I’d seriously consider checking you in to the Lino Lakes facility. Make sure you keep in touch, the guy I normally bowhunt with in Ellsworth has a new girlfriend and he’s going through the whole whipped stage. I’ll need someone to tag along with in search of Mr. Pope and Young.

By the way, I’ll also be up in September and October, possibly in Tuck’s boat.

    Rob,

It was not that long ago when I was in the same “boat” as you. However, my favorite thing to hunt with my bow is mule deer in the river breaks. Spot and stalk. Trophy whitetails are a huge challenge, but spot and stalk is a must try if you haven’t yet.

I’ll post again when it get closer, but this fall night bite isn’t really all that good, so most of you should stay home.

I hear you Kooty. Late Season we do some spot and stalking on Whitetails on the river breaks in ND also. Can be a fun challenging way to bag a whitetail or mulie. We also do drives with a bow that can be an absolute rush. Last weekend of the season in ND everyone that has a tag left lines up and the people that are done pushe the land. Getting a bunch of buddies together for some great action and plnety of laughs to be had. Much less a great chance to see some bruisers. Don’t hunt much Mulie, but that might change here in the next few years .

Ohhhhhh ok Kooty, if the Fall Trolling bite is not that good I might as well stay home and play Twiddlie Winks

Brian, Have bow, will travel, just say the word . I might be able to get 4 states in this year . I don’t have great Deer land here in MN to offer you but unbelievable Pheasant land for MN is just a few hours from me .

I’ve “lurked” the site for quite a while & done a couple of posts also as “Bladepuller” & I can guarantee you I will be there every weekend & a bunch of weekdays between now & Thanksgiving. We have a house in Wahkon. We’ve been there a looooooooong time. Back on subject:
Full moon is Sept Sun. the 18th. In Oct. it is Mon the 17th. I believe the way the calender I’m looking at interprets it is that the night that ends w/ the sun rising the day stated. It just isn’t that important. Just give me some scattered clouds & a slight breeze & I’ll be happy.
I’ve been doing real well on south end rocks all summer long just long lining out the back. The 350A was giving me problems but w/ Wade @ Jolly Marine input that should be behind us. Thanks Wade! There have been keepers on the shallow rocks at night all summer. 8′ to 14′ during the day as been okay also.

Now boys, it is far too early to start all this night fishing talk. You relize you are pretty much killing productivity for many guys at countless companies.

Alphid-where have you been, we go fishing 2 years ago have you put a 50″ in the boat and I never hear from you again? Did you get any fishing done last fall? We might have went fishing once or twice and might have caught a fish or two.

Sure hope the Garrison bay area is as hot this fall as last year. What a blast!

Now what kind of an advertisement is that for your E-Tec Tuck??? Geez. You’re supposed to say something like, “sure am glad I have an E-tec with gas prices this high!”
