Pulled deep tail dancers friday for about 6-7 hours with my sons. The first fish came to the boat about 1 minute into the troll on a deep tail dancer about 170’of mono back on a board. It was a VERY health 27.5″…what a start. We ended up with 10 more fish that day all but 2 came on the boards with deep tail dancers. Saturday was pretty windy so we went to the gravel for some boardin and caught 2 around 20″ right off the bat in about 30′ of water. Mid afternoon the wind laid down, so back to the mud basin areas and 6 more fish came to the boat again all on the boards. The fireline straight out the back just wasn’t working last weekend. All said and done 19 eyes for 2 days from 17″ to 27.5″ and 9 of those fish were in the 17″ to 21.5″ range.

Bucky, I already have twin 14 year old boys that won’t let me leave shore without them. Good luck tomorrow.

Willy, I am off the flats by at least 1/2 mile and most of the time more. Sometimes I run up close, but usually stay away most due to traffic and there are some people who don’t understand I have lines 150′ plus back.

    Nice Job T-BONE!

I struggled to find biters on my couple hour jorney pulling boards on Sunday Afternoon! With about 4 hours of trolling I got only two “Small” (Sub 20″)takers! I had found 2 pretty good schools of fish, but couldn’t pull all the factors together to get them to go. A little bird flew by me today and told me something that I tired, but prehaps not long enough . Thanks for the tip little birdy !

The rigging bite was harsh to me also. The fish were barely biting and many bites with no fish waiting when I went to check! I was on fish all day, just not finding “aggressive” fish. Rigging I only took a few small eyes and a perch. I had my toughest outing on the pond this year !

It might be my last trip to the pond until the September full moon bite Your report has inspired me to maybe try one more time this Sunday if I can get away. The girlfriends family is coming to town. Maybe Sunday afternoon again Then the following week is up to Kabetogama, Sand Point and Namakan

Keep up the good work T-Bone

    Yes, good job t-bone.

Tuff bite for my boat this last weekend….. Anyone smell a skunk? Must be that time of the year where the walleyes lose thier teeth..

I did find a couple new spots where the smallies saved the weekend. Nothing real big, but they did put a bend in my pole.

Monday, the lake laid out flat and there was a nasty as it get’s midge hatch. A gazillion of those tiny buggers crawling all over everything. Too stinking hot to wear a head net. Only relief was to get the boat up on plane and go!

Come on Lip Ripper, one more weekend. I assure you the bite will still be on somewhere Bring the whole family and run a bunch of boards . I don’t know if I can keep all those eyes going all by myself
