My father came up from TX this week and I was hoping to get him out fishing this weekend, anyone have any advice for getting him on some walleyes or perch? I have not been up to the big lake yet this year, too much time on the river chasing cats and eyes while the water was high.

I am going to give it a go tomorrow. Rigging in the morning and pulling boards in the afternoon.

See a black and grey Alumacraft tiller, stop and say hello.

Ditto here, except I will be up Sunday with Black/Tan Crestliner DC with Mercurys on the back!

Sunday for me too Black and Tan Crestliner single consloe with Merc on back. I was up this past Wednesday and fished bell to bell, 6am – 11pm. Pulled DT-11 and 9 Tail dancers and picked up 5 fish. It was rough and speed was everything. Boat control wasn’t the easiest
Trout color and Perch color was choice. All 5 fish where 23+ with one 27.5. Maybe see some of you Sunday.

I’ll be headed up this afternoon and staying through Monday. That shallow bite JDL metioned has me thinking I need to check a few spots on the south end rocks… If that aint going, the smallies are not too far away!

Then there are those musky on the north end…..hhhmmmm, will be burning some gas I guess.

Dman or anyone else, This will be my 1st trip using the 11-TD’s. How many feet back are you running these to hit that 30 FOW?

I was running 130 – 140 back. I would feel bottom when crossing 26 ft at that using fireline.

Fished yesterday from 2-6pm and only had a couple of hits. Conditions were not ideal – no wind and it was like glass out there.

One thing I noticed yesterday is that the pond was starting to green up and there was some debris in the water. Pretty unsual for this lake… My line above my crankbaits would collect debris and I would have to check them frequently. Couple of times it was eaier retying versus trying to get the debris off. Maybe the water clarity has something to do with the bite slowing down…
