Spent a few hours pulling cranks last night thru the high seas and some light rain. This was my first real attempt at using boards and to my suprise not all that difficult.

We spent three hours on the lake with a total of five fish ranging from 20″-23″.The bait that was working the best was the Deep Tail Dancer, Rainbow Trout. We were in 30 to 35 FOW and most the action coming on the the deep line and one hitting at 24 FOW.

Thanks IDA for turning me on to this method and all the info on how to go about it.

Thanks for the update E.S. It sounds like you might have to change your handle to “1/2 empty stringer”

According to my buddies, they caught all the fish while I was busy piloting the boat, setting lines, changing radio stations for their listening pleasure, and giving constant updates of water depth.

    I need new fishing buddies

    The Empty Stringer lives on!!!!

    Let me guess…..

They used your lures, rods and I bet, you even netted “THEIR FISH”

    Sounds waayyyyyyyy to familiar

Who cares if you are fishing I guess
