I have some deep diving reef runners that say they will go 28+ feet does anyone have a dive chart for these? I was running them last weekend and caught a couple fish 150 feet back on powerpro at 1.5 MPH in 35 FOW and not sure how deep they were running. Thanks

YOu can assume a 10% increase in depth due to PP. The trolling bible says 160 feet on mono = 26 feet deep.

I’m not sure about PP but with 10lb Fireline I was running 140-150′ back and was thinking I was running 32-33′ down. Hope this helps.

was told PP is flat and tends to float good to cast but Fireline much better to troll

PP is round and fireline is flat.I like PP for the fact that it is round and doesnt fray like fireline and being no stretch and small diameter like fireline I think it cuts threw the water as well.

I happen to have a trolling bible sitting at my desk.

I like fireline for some jigging, and trolling along with casting. Am now using some pp for casting too and just bought some to try for trolling. Both look good so far. I think the fireline is more sensitive but the pp [power pro], , [sorry guys but that just sunk in ] doesn’t frail like fireline.
    Thanks, Bill

Listen to Kooty. ” I just happen to have a trolling bible at my desk”. Who are you trying to kid Kooty! You know you try to memorize a page every day at work .

I to use Fireline and agree I do not like the fraying, but other attributes (sensitivity and no stretch)to it I do like. I have been tinkering with Spiderwire “Stealth” and so far I like it.

It’s actually the one I ruined out on Erie this spring. Most of the pages we used were ruined, but the deep reefrunner was barely legible. I meant to verify with the one at home last night, but forgot.

As for geeking out, I did print the RR color chart and created a corresponding name/number for each of the colors in a spreadsheet. They have both been laminated and added to my 3 ring binder for the boat. I gotta get that spreadsheet of yours laminated also.

So in summary, yes, I’m a nerd, a fishing nerd!!!!
