Anyone try this yet? I tried a couple weeks ago but nothing. Clear and calm spells deep water walleye this weekend. How about lead core, has that been working?

We are just coming into that time of year. The water temps are just starting to get into the mid 60s and upper 60s seems to trigger this bite. From the people i’ve talked to that have been out the bite is still very slow.
Like Rob, we’ll be playing a bit with this this next week too.

Trust your electronics. If the fish are near the bottom, fish there > Duh! If they are up high (Kinda early IMHO)don’t run under them.

I’d expect the fish to be relating to the bottom 5 feet around the mud. I’ll be using LC to get #5 and #7 shad raps to that depth. If the fish don’t want that, I’ll switch over to spinners and meat and keep covering ground. If I’m getting skunked doing that and the riggers are swinging nets, I’ll go in and force feed em’ slooooooowwwww.
