Just got back from five days of fishing on the pond and the fishing has been very good considering all the traffic from the recent tournaments. The fish are spread out around the lake with fish being caught on the rocks the mud the sand and the gravel. The most consistant bite has been slip bobbering the rock reefs in the evening with Big Point and Shaws putting out some good numbers of fish in 10 to 15 FOW.The day bite has been good also but I would recomend staying away from the community holes for a while as these areas have been worked over hard in the last week.Dont be afraid to get away from the pack and check out new areas.I didnt fish the Wacker but fished at the same time it was going on and caught good numbers of fish in places that there wasnt a boat even close.Maybe the fish bite better when you you dont have any cash on the line. Most of these places had one thing in common they were on the transition from rock to sand or rock to mud in 20 to 25 FOW.It looks to me like it is going to be a good year on the pond and with the night ban coming off there should be some great night fishing to be had.Keep in mind the water is warming up and if you are pulling up fish out of deeper water to pull them up slowly or they wont survive and there will be a lot of floaters out on the lake. Now all I have to do is wash some clothes and pay some bills and Ill be haeded back for another five days.Good luck fishing and maybe see ya on the water.

It’s a tuff job, but someone has to do it.

    Thanks for the report.
