We fished friday, started on the south side and had to wait out a storm first thing. After the storm we hit several spots and didn’t get a bite, so we switched gears and fished for northerns and muskys. We caught one 7lb northern, after that we trailered up to Garrison and hit some mud flats. We ended up with 10 walleyes, the good thing was 8 of the 10 were eaters, the biggest was a very fat 22. All of the fish were fat, apparently well feed.In bobbers repoet he said grinded out and thats exactly what we had to do also, once you catch a fish just keep working the area over and over and eventually you would get a fish. All of our fish were on top of the flat in 22-23 fow, we used lindys with 10ft snells a red hook and a leech or crawler, crawlers taking most of the fish. The bites were very soft, almost undetectable so get a good graghiteand pay attention.Last week we were on the north side for half a day and caught 7, but all were under 13 inches, most around 8.All in all we took a rainy crappy weather day and turned it into a pretty good outing. In the afternoon it was dead calm, I have never been up there when you could water skie acrossed the whole lake but you certainly could have yesterday.Sense I got a bigger boat I have been going crazy fishing all over the place, I love it, I will be on the St. Croix on Sunday.
