Mille Lacs opener action ?????

I did not get out at all on opener, but was looking forward to reading about some reports from some of you guys that did. How about it?? Did anyone GO ????

Jack, I don’t think anyone can type yet…Putz posted a picture and a short not in the Croix forum…said something about 4 foot waves and bouncing on his brains…Dandy fish in his post thou!

My daughters boyfreind came back to day…one 23 incher. Pretty amazing since he left his fishing rod at home….

Ps…I too am waiting to see some fish.

Yeah, I’ll let the guys that really worked their butts off for fish report first. Then I will tell my tale of a Saturday from hell that all of us have gone through once in a while.

It’s almost 11:30p on Sunday, either folks are still fishing or they have not thawed out yet. sure was hoping for a report, fish tale, fishing lie, and a couple of pics. Hey, I’m easy. Jack..

See Putz? I might not put you on fish…but I keep you comfortable…

Oh, we fished, and fished, and fished! We put 8 keepers in the boat, and some bigger fish that had to go back. We had a number of year classes represented in our catch. There will be a ton of pictures coming up by a bunch of folks. Most are sleeping I am sure! As Bob said, it was a brutal ordeal! Hard on equipment and bodies!

Well Sat was a bust for me…I had battery issues and only got a little time in in the afternoon….oh well..the weather stunk anyways. Sunday we managed 6 no keepers…well one but not a keeper in my book…nice healthy 28.25″ all the others were between 20.25 and 23.5″.
It was a fun weekend!!
