Was wondering if the fish are in the shallows?

I saw only one fish out front along the shoreline last night. The creek is running so fast……..you can’t see a thing down there.

the gamewarden said that it was out this morning, 4/20. the water temps in cove bay this afternoon were form 53.6 to 57.9 deg. there were some sunny’s to be had. i saw some crappies also but i didn’t have any minnows and they wouldn;t hit a plane jig. saw alot of dogfish with the bass. there are a few natives netting down here, around the point. i went to the landing yesterday and saw the days catch, they had about 30 fish in a plastic tub. the warden was there and he explaned how the state keeps track of the poundage. each netter has to declare which landing they are going to use. they call the trible warden when they are going to pull the nets. the warden then measures and weighs the catch and it is recorded. so far i have only seen 1 boat netting out of the cove bay access……tom f

the picture is of a fog bank rolling yesterday evening. it was really cool. there was 3 dirrerent times when the fog rolled in yesterday………

That picture looks like maybe the “Great Spirit of the Lake” might be…fuming…out there on Spirit Island.

He must not like all his indian children netting the lake!

The walleye’s have been in the shallows off my shoreline the last couple of nights. I was just out front and they are quite a few swiming around spashing!! The natives had nets out front last night. But they must have either done poorly or they had a haul as they are’nt back tonite.
I saw mostly smaller males with one big pig that swam off into deeper water. Too bad it’s a cool evening tonite, I could go to sleep listening to them spashing about!!
