perch?

anyone finding any perch or crappies? i am going to try to hit it soon and see. i will post how i do.

I just returned from Big Round in Polk Co. WI. looking for jumbos. I did manager to catch a half doz. fairly good sized ones, however, I had to really work for them. I could see them come up to my bait on the Vex but they just sat there looking at it. Very frustrating.
Good luck and fish deep for them.

Just got back from the pond tonight and the bite was pretty slow for us, which surprized me as it was a perch kind of day. Bobber can probably fill in here as he knows more than me.
Question for anyone though. One of the 11 inchers I cleaned tonight was a male. I don’t recall seeing a male that big before. Is that unusual or am I not catching enough perch?

we cleaned some large males last week also. don’t know why the males are so big? they eat really good!!!……tom f
