A few buddies and I are planning on heading up to the big pond this week.Looking at renting a sleeper and using the portables to scout some fish.Anyone know where the action is and a good place to rent a sleeper from? Anyone be willing to share a gps # or 2 with a rookie so we would have a chance at putting some eyes on the ice perhaps?
    Thanks in advance

    Red,
a few friends of mine were up on the north end flats this last weekend. talked to one guy who went, and with the very cold weather, that is shut the fishing down to almost non=existent. sounded like a few small walleyes were caught, I mean very small, and that no eater or quality fish were caught. hopefully the weather will stabilize soon and warm up, when that happens, the bite should pick up. Good Luck. Jack..

If you are going up during the week I would suggest Macs twin bay or McQuoids they have nice houses and have a pay for one night get one free during the week.Ask if they are out to 5 mile yet and try to get a house out there.Macs also has a good bar and resturant now called Buzzies.
