Spent the last five days on the lake and fishing has been pretty good considering the cold weather. The best bite has been from 4-10 pm and usually a couple on rattle reels during the night. The day bite has been very slow, the fish are down there but not very interested.I have really noticed that the days with less activity on the ice have produced the best fishing so keep this in mind when selecting a place to set up.I have been getting 10-20 fish a day with most being in the 12-15 inch range and a few in the 20s.Keep in mind when pulling these fish up from deeper water to do it slowly,if you look down their throat and the air sack is sticking out you are pulling them up to fast. These fish are eating down the forage and I predict they will provide some fast action in the spring.
