    Get there early if you plan to fish this weekend. There were THOUSANDS of people on the lake today. I am not exagerating. Mille lacs looked a lot like Red lake today. This weekend will be a zoo.

    Scott, you are sooooo right. I have watched the lights coming off the flats after dark this past week. And it’s been crazy this week or was it a weekend? You could not tell by the amount of traffic on the lake. The resorts should be making some money with the access fee’s$$$$$$$ $10/truck. I was thinking of fishing again Saturday afternoon? I might have to get there early and find a spot to drill a hole….

    I saw a ferris wheel out on 8 mile and carnie rats at the Holiday station.

    It is so busy around the lake today…..I think I’m going to wait till Monday to go fishing again. There was a steady stream of vehicles going on the lake this morning. The local resort owners should be happy with the weather and the income coming from this weekend. I bet is will be some record $$$$$$ made today and tommorrow. Good thing the Pack and Vike’s are playing a late game……allows for a little longer weekend!

    I took a quick ride of the sled this afternoon out to the mud flats. You would not beleive how many people were out there. It really looked like a busy day on Red Lake. I heard that George Nitti at Hunters Point Resort had 200 vehicles pay access by 12pm today…….I was on my ride around 2pm and they were still heading out!!!!!

    I sure hope that they are not keeping all those little fish?

    Not sure how every one else did but 5 of us were out on the flats today with very little luck. If every one else is having the same problem then no little ones will be kept. Tried a few differnt spots some among the cluster of houses and some off by ourselves but had the same results.

    Bobber. We might make it up again during the week again this week. Hopefully it will be a little less crowded then.

    A few of us spent the day Sat. on the mud. I cannot ever remember it being that busy on the mud flats. Saw lots of little walleyes on the camera with an occasional taker. Couple people in our group caught a few, and the others didn’t catch any. Overall, a slow day…but very exciting watching the camera. I hope these little guys make it through this barrage of pressure. Keeping your limit doesn’t earn you a medal…sometimes one or two is enough to make the family a meal. Just my 2 cents.

    Ya there is a lot of people on the ice now. was able to get my limit and go in by 5 on sat out on the gravel
    (small spoons- very light bite – down viewed the camera )
    alittle slower on sunday mybe because every bodys going home Ha Ha Ha
