Seeing lots of bait on the Vex there Bob?
Ya….still lots of small perch. Hook and been using the camera and this AM he saw a few walleye roaming the reef! One time he had 4 walleye in view at one time. I have to keep looking for some active fish.
You know when you look at the past year. The total walleye harvest tells the story…….only 79,400 lbs taken the past 12 months when our allowable harvest was 380,000 lb’s. Guess it has been a little on the slow side! The natives netted around 80,000 lb’s in just a few weeks this past spring. Although the month of June and early July was pretty good for guide and tourny trips for this angler.
The winter has started out pretty darn slow for this guy.
i was out to sloppy joes this affernoon, 2 11 inch perch and a 13 inch walleyem missed a few also. like bobber sez, it’s pertty slow!!!! i do have to say that the slot this year was ok. i don’t think we caught as many fish as last year, but of the fish we did catch, more were keepers……… pp
Ya it is slow I was out on the pond from thrusday at 5pm to sunday at noon fished shaws july and big point caught a few of the small perch site fishing with the camera and one walleye that was 25″ but it was FUN on new years
