Halloween weekend

So, who’s all heading up to the pond for the Halloween weekend? I will be up there Fri. ands Sat. nights. If there are enough of us up there maybe we should get together for a B.S. session. I was thinking Sat. afternoon. Anybody have a suggestion on a place to meet?

I plan on being up there starting either Wed or Thurs nite fishing the west side. I can let everybody know what’s working on Saturday afternoon. My wife is not happy, but October full moon is my time!!!

Anyone got suggestions on how to get the wife to let me have another 4 days off??? I prefer to have a wife to come home to, but all suggestions will be considered.

You could bribe her with a no expense spared shopping spree. Buy her a plane ticket to go see her out of town mother that she misses dearly. Comb the internet for a sleep inducing drug that lasts, conveniently enough, a little more than 4 days. Find a body double to stay home in your place.

Castaways’ = TITANIC BURGER.

Also know as the coronary on a bun. Yummy, yummy. Ironically to go along with that massive twin pattie burger Castways’ serves the smallest portion of coleslaw I’ve EVER seen. The serving container looks like a hospital pill cup with a lid.

I think I’ll take my one night and consider myself lucky!! I can only imagine what type of hysteria I would throw her into if I told her I was going to be fishing that whole weekend.

Likely a good move on your part since you just got back from your elk hunt.

By the way, awesome report on that hunt. It was a fun read.

You might want to try becomeing increasingly more annoying for the week prior to that weekend. That way she will be happy to get rid of you. When she says those words “just go, I dont want to see you” you need to leave the house before you start cheering.
If this one doesnt work I have a hole list that I have used threw the years.

I’ve been trying to remember if it’s Castaways that serves roasted chicken. I think I had it there. It was excellent.

Most weekends up there I don’t make it much past the barstools at Barnacle’s .

do what i did. talked the wife into quiting her job and moved up to the puddle. retired at 40, it wasn’t too hard of a sell. well she was on me to quit her job for 5 years prior, so the quiting her job part was easy. getting her to accecpt mille lacs was a little harder sell. that was 2 years ago, this fall a 2025 pro-v. wow do i have a keeper!!!!!!!!tom f.

I’ll also be up. I’m sure our wake will cross paths.

Again, I think I better be happy with one night. I do like Mike’s idea of annoying her to the point where she forces me out of the house to fish. I may tinker with that plan a little this weekend.

Waterfowler. Whats your other option? Clean the house. Buy her flowers. Butter her up. After all that she is going to be twitterpaited to no end with you and your sure not going to get out of the house then. It sounds harsh but sometimes a guy just has to do what he has to do.

Just be carefull on the annoying part…..

I did that the other day and was told to get out of the house and go, go, go fishing , just get out… …. …, but don’t come home without any fish…. ….Well, since I didn’t catch anything big enough to bring home to the table , I got side tracked at the local watering hole.. …….for a few hours and a few beverages……..

Wow, you would of thought she never seen a guy drink a beer before…….

But, before you knew it…….I was invited back in the bed

Why YES!!! YES I DID!!! Good old Wally. My dad and Wally go waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back. Back in the 60s, My dad’s best friend used to own the Roundup, before Wally bought it……..This was back in the days when Hampton, YES HAMPTON, had uh-hum…….ladies of the evening!!!! Back then, Hampton had 12 bars, for a population of 400 people….

Times have changed…….pretty safe bar for a married (or engaged) guy to go have a drink. Pretty much a working man’s bar…….Don’t see tooooo many single woman in that bar……just a bunch of hard working guys sucking down a brew or 2 before they get home……..

Then I went to Frank’s…….That’s the old corner bar in town, that is accross the street from Wally’s…….

Yea, my fishing trip was extended about 8 hours that night in the bar……Good thing I had some buddies drive me home……..

momma wasn’t happy………especially when you turn off the cell phone because you are tired of it ringing……..

Hey everybody, Chappy’s running a TAB!!!
