    I wouldnt hit the lake without having some firetiger and clown #5 shad raps and #12 HJ or floaters.They have put most of the fish in the boat for me this year and have been good in the past.Also the blue with the orange belly has been good and on the darker nights the rattlin rouges have caught a few fish.

    Hands down a rainbow anything but a rainbow shad rap can not be found anywhere. This color in the taildancer, floaters, any type of bait but that color is my choice. Hey but dont tell anyone.

    In a typical october I’ll catch 95% of my fish on these 3 lures;

    Firetiger #12 HJ’s
    Red Craw #12 HJ’s
    Lazer Craw Rogues

    The other 5% go to shad raps, shallow shad raps, husky floating raps, bekley frenzys and original floaters.

    I’ve seen a lot of clown pattern results this year so far……. on more waters than just Mille Lacs. I just boated a 24″ eye 2 nights ago on an SS Rogue in clown….. that I had bought just that morning!

    James……. those “FrenzySticks”…… if Berkley ever makes them in a bigger size, I’ll be buying a few in the Chartreuse/White, suspending and floating! Those dumb things have been the “pleasant surprise” of my ’04 fishing season. I still haven’t had any takers on the red craw HJ, outside of Mille Lacs. Maybe this week!
