What are you guys seeing and hearing about the presence, or absence, of jumbo perch. I know the lake is LOADED with the 5″ – 8″ stuff but I’ve heard little to nothing about the perch bite this summer. Last year at this time guys were really having a field day with them. Anyone hearing about or catching any good numbers of the jumbos?
I have not heard anything of a big perch bite…..like last fall!!!!! I did catch some nice jumbo perch trolling this past July in the deep water. Many of the local folks were surprized with the nice jumbos caught late last winter.
I’ll keep my ears open for any reports!
Like Bobber, I too caught some dandy perch trolling cranks in deep water. I don’t think the large schools of big perch are there yet but in 3-4 more years we could probably expect some numbers of big perch.
