Mille Lacs late ice crappies south end

Is there still a decent crappie bite on mille lacs this time of year? I have never fished mille lacs on ice this late in the year. I have heard that there is a really nice late ice crappie bite if you can find them. I have an opportunity to head up this weekend..is it worth a shot?? Hopefully we don’t get too much snow.

I was in isle today and chapmans has closed his access. I haven’t seen anybody out lately. It would be best to call first, before you make the drive and all the accesses’ are closed. If we get the snow that they are predicting, you might need hip boots due to water on the ice. As far as a decent bite, I wouldn’t say 2 maybe 4 fish a day/night, if you are lucky, a decent bite.
