Did anybody ever get any feedback from the e-mails you sent?

My original response from Cabela’s CS was that they were going to forward my question to the Corporate Office. I sent Cabela’s another email today asking what the response was from CO and this is their reply.

Thank you for contacting us. We show that we have passed your comments on to our corporate offices. We apologize but we are unable to guarantee that you would receive a reply.

What if we meet in Cabelas parking lot on Saturday morning April 26th. This is the morning of the big give away at Grand Casino. We meet at 7 and drink coffee. At 8 when they open for business everybody just drive away. If we had enough people this would send a strong message to more than just Cabelas.

Not sure if anyone will notice when a total of 4 cars drive away at the same time. I got a rod from cabela’s a couple weeks ago- not a place I buy much from but once in a great while you can find a deal.

Ya when I thought of this I envisioned 50 to 100 cars. If you spent $1,000 a year at Cabelas like I have that would be a lot of business they would see driving away. Oh well I won’t be back to Cabelas. Too many other good places to shop.

I have never “spent” a cent in a casino, and I never will. I find it amazingly, amazingly strange to hear people complaining about the power of the “Indian Industry” in this state…only to hear them then complain about netting.

The casinos are the source of political power for Native Americans. I boycotted them long ago; it didn’t take a stupid Cabela’s promotion to make me realize it. Hats off to all y’all who skipped the casino this weekend. Now convince everyone you know to save their money the other 51 weeks of the year.

A co-worker said he was up there and never seen it so empty. Maybe people are finally getting it,but I don’t believe that.

Low turnout may have had something to do with Mille Lacs Ice creeping up and across Hwy 169.
