Fishing for perch after 2/23?

Novice question. How do you fish for perch after walleye season closes? The techniques (limited) I know for perch aren’t that different than for walleye. If we go out after February 23, is there anything in particular we need to do to be in compliance with the regulations? Obviously, if we were to catch a walleye of any size we would have to release it. But can you get in trouble for accidentally catching a walleye or for using a method that would make catching a walleye a significant possibility?

Nah, you’re fishing for perch. Walleyes happen.

Don’t sweat it, just fish for them. If a walleye gets hooked, get it off and back down the hole without delay.

    Good luck!

Just another quick thought, tip-ups would probably not be a good idea. Although they work well for perch (personal experience), they might draw attention from a C.O.
Any others use them for perch after the walleye season is closed? Any sticky points?

TacoTom, I wish they happened a little more often.
