Ice Report for The Red Door Resort 12-20-13
Todays report shows some improvement over this past Wednesday’s! I experienced a slight improvement from my findings the other day. The snow has settled a little, maybe from time and or the warm sunshine. The ice depth varied from 7-8 inches today. One area that had normal snow cover ( 7-10 inches ) measured 7-8 inches of ice. Another area that had been flooded badly now has 3 inches of frozen snow/water with 2 inches of water and 7 inches of ice below. This area is a trap for getting stuck. My atv would carry over most of it, but when it broke through I was in trouble.
This information is a slight improvement from just two days ago….maybe some hope yet in the coming days-weeks! We are open for atv and sled use only at this time.
