Nope, not us. We’ll wait and do the Mac’s couples tourney the 24th of July.
Oh, by the way the Hunters couple tourney is the 17th of July.

So, I hear you saw me on the 4 and you didnt wave to us? There were so many boats there , you would have had to be in a blaze orange boat for me to have noticed you guys..

We had her in stealth mode, and we did wave!
I read your post about nets attracting boats, I swear that I’m going to invent a transparent landing net!
Oh yeah, another one of my million dollar ideas!

That would be a good idea Tim. I was thinking of maybe throwing up a tarp over us when we get the fish to the boat.

Bob, looks like the 17th works better for us. Dont think my gal can get the 24th off for Macs.

It still amazes me that with a tough bite like we had, very few fish even seen being caught and that people think that their going to run right up your backside and catch a fish. Their all under my boat right now. Wouldn’t they take the hint that being out alone in the quiet water may have been the reason we caught a fish. We tend to stay out of the crowd as much as possible when those spots are available.

Hope to do both, but it will probably be one or the other….probably Macs.

I hear ya Hooks — on Saturday, a buddy of mine and I fished the All Carpenters. After spending some time south, we worked to the north side of am unnamed rock pile. No boats were up close so we moved shallow to give it a try. Within a few minutes another boat pulled up — but 50 yards away around the corner of the pile, no biggie. Within a few more minutes they landed a 27. They were really excited… like 4-5 buddies in the boat. The noise they created cheering each other on drew in 6 other boats within what seemed like seconds.

It was like Lake Havasu during spring break… sheesh. We bailed out of there, found a similar structure 2 miles away and started fishing… alone. The most rewarding part is that we caught fish there — — proving once again there are more spots holding fish than 5 ft off the other guys bow.

Any results or reports? Saw a few couples out on the lake Saturday.

How about those BUGS!!! I don’t think my wife would have lasted 15 minutes with those buggers!

We were out trolling and kinda kept an eye out watching for the take-off and never really saw anything happen. Don’t know anything else, other than by 10:30 I had ate enough bugs and went in.
Yesterday morning we went down to Buzzies on the bay for breakfast and talked to a couple others that were out fishing on saturday and they commented that the bugs were spotty on the lake, you could find places they weren’t.
    Great BUFFET!

11 hours on the water Saturday and a mouthful of those bugs were enough to drive me crazy! A few boat rides here and there to another spot gave a guy some quick relief….but secinds after you shut the motor off, they were all over you again.
Jon, I think your wife may have outlasted mine by 10 minutes if we would have fished the couples event.
